Dr. Gordon is a general dentist who is looking to make her patients feel comfortable in the chair. She enjoys art and music in her free time. Dr. Gordon often takes photographs of the Buffalo architecture, creates her own wood furniture, and attends shows for local musical groups. The art of dentistry is what first interested her about the profession, and she strives to apply her artistic flair to the work she produces in the dental office.

What do you say to people about their fear of going to the dentist?
I tell them that I completely understand. One of my biggest fears in the past was getting my wisdom teeth removed! But I also tell them that I am here to help make any difficult experience as comfortable as possible, whether it’s by taking things slowly or talking through procedures step by step. I give the patient control over the appointment to assure that it goes the way they want it to.
How do you want people to remember you?
I want people to remember me as being a gentle and caring provider. I like to get the job done, but in a way that the patient can feel comfortable and important. Every smile I work with means a lot to me, because there is a real person behind it.
What are some causes that you care about?
One cause that is very important to me is the battle against hunger and malnutrition. In addition to supporting involved charities, this past Spring I started a vegetable garden with my husband and neighbors in the heart of the city of Buffalo. We have over 50 plants that are beginning to produce, and we will be donating them to local families in need. I am excited to make this a yearly tradition!
